LSST Dominates Every National Student Survey 2024 Theme and Attains 96.5% Student Satisfaction in Teaching

LSST has once again achieved remarkable success in the National Student Survey (NSS) and overtakes the sector average with outstanding positions for each of the 10 survey themes – with 96.5% of LSST students saying they are satisfied with their teaching staff.

 

Student satisfaction at LSST has increased overall, with this year’s whopping 92.6% compared with last year’s 89.4%. These ongoing outstanding survey results – managed independently by the Office for Students (OfS) – reflect LSST’s dedication to continuously improving its strategies in enhancing the educational experience of its students. The increased positivity in independent student feedback showcases the hard work and commitment of LSST’s academic and support staff.

Mr Syed Zaidi, LSST’s CEO, commenting on the results, said: ‘Everyone at LSST is immensely pleased that these independent and indicative scores highlight how our students feel while studying here. Our welcoming campuses are student and community-centric and dedicated to enhancing student careers through offering a widely sought-after range of accredited courses from our university partners. There has never been a better time to join LSST.’

Mr Ali Jafar Zaidi, LSST’s Deputy CEO, added: ‘By attaining over 90% positivity measures across all 10 NSS themes and exceeding all benchmark figures, our exceptional NSS results highlight our unwavering commitment to student success and satisfaction. We are proud to surpass the sector benchmarks and will continue striving for excellence in our educational offerings. At LSST, we offer high-quality education and student services and the glowing NSS 2024 results show that we have achieved this.’

LSST’s student NSS respondents (86%, up 3% from 2023) have provided a tremendously positive verdict across all themes, particularly with their courses and teachers, learning opportunities, assessment and feedback and freedom to express ideas – all over 93% exceeding sector averages.

LSST’s NSS 2024 achievements set a high sector standard and demonstrate the importance of listening to and acting upon student feedback to create enriching academic environments. Charlie Tennant, LSST’s Vice Principal, confirms: ‘The culmination of LSST’s collaborative efforts to listen, support, and enhance the student experience is evident in our average score of 92.6% across all themes. This achievement is a testament to the dedication and hard work of everyone at LSST.’

While the NSS 2024 survey is overwhelmingly positive, it still provides a crucial opportunity for reflection on progress and areas that can be improved. LSST sincerely thanks each student who participated in the survey and shared their experiences.
