Principal Alan Jeffery personally welcomes prospective students to the college and explains what they can expect from student-centred learning at LSST.

”You’re about to make a major decision that could change the rest of your life – so think about it very carefully! Is this the right time in your life to embark on a Higher Education course? Can you dedicate time, effort and money to studying? Do you have a clear, realistic goal for your future?

If you can genuinely and realistically answer ‘yes’ to these questions, then we are keen to talk to you. We are looking for motivated and hard working people who want to invest in their future through Higher Education. We will give you an honest and accurate assessment of your chances of success in achieving a qualification.

If you join us at LSST the first thing you will notice is that our students come from all walks of life and are truly diverse: we believe that these are our major strengths. Some students have come to us via a traditional study route, but many haven’t because of childcare responsibilities, the need to work, or it just being the right time in their life to make the move. Consequently you will find students ranging in age from 18 to 65, some straight from schools, others working within a business or in the process of setting up their own business, as well as those not quite sure what direction they are going to take.

If you haven’t been in Education for a while, we at LSST understand that you may need to brush up on some of the basics, especially English and Maths , so we offer additional support to get you up to speed. We expect you to have an interest in the business world around you which we believe is an exciting and dynamic world which we will enjoy exploring with you.
