Although LSST has a strong academic underpinning, as a Business School it is primarily concerned with the practical aspects of the subjects it teaches. Unlike most traditional Universities the focus is on the issues and challenges facing modern business – it therefore looks to prepare students with the necessary knowledge and skills for their future career in preference to expecting them to find standard answers in text books. The college promotes original thinking and innovation as well as encouraging entrepreneurial talent in a way that many long-established universities would be reluctant to encourage at undergraduate level.

Message from College Principal, Alan Jeffery

We now live in a complex multi-national culture where boundaries between countries, in a wide sense, are fast disappearing. Education is the foundation to be able to follow a worthwhile and rewarding career. LSST is a very diverse community and encourages people from all backgrounds to study. We aim to remove barriers to learning and aim to ensure that students are supported throughout their time with us.

The London School of Science & Technology has a strategic aim to provide a range of courses, designed to provide a secure foundation to learning. To ensure that high standards are achieved and maintained, the School has arrangements with the awarding body, EDEXCEL which is an internationally recognised, providing a range of vocational courses that prepare students for higher studies as well as employment in their chosen field.

As Principal my task is to oversee the content and quality of teaching and to advise the management on departmental matters. The courses at the London School of Science & Technology cover a wide range of subjects within the Business, Computing and IT curriculum areas. The School also provides courses in English and encourages students to improve their communication skills by taking part in both School and local area activities.

The School is aware of the high costs within education and strives to provide courses at reasonable cost. Study materials are included for most courses and the library provides access to a wide range of materials for research purposes.
